We think it’s pretty cool.
Mechanical refrigeration has made leaps and bounds in the past century. From allowing humans to live in hot climates that wouldn’t normally be hospitable, such as Las Vegas, to increasing access to food sources from local supermarkets, refrigeration has changed how we live on this planet. Found in settings such as pharmaceutical facilities, supermarkets, hotels and more, commercial refrigeration refers to the temperature-controlled storage equipment different facilities require. Freezer boxes, display cases, and cooling towers are just some of the conveniences that make living in today’s world possible.
How does refrigeration work?
At the very core of the issue, refrigeration removes unwanted heat from one place to somewhere else. The traditional method is mechanical compression, which transfers heat by changing liquid into gas. There is also absorption refrigeration, evaporative cooling, and thermoelectric refrigeration. There are infinite ways this can happen using a compressor, condenser, evaporator, and metering device, which we won’t get into here (it takes years to learn this stuff), but we can assure you that our team knows it inside out.
