Project Overview.

Our Design-Build team had to implement full 3D Virtual Construction, Thermenex design and integration to deliver project energy targets for this 15,100 m2 project. Awarded the 2020 VRCA Award of Excellence, this project was a successful implementation of high-end mechanical systems product delivery and energy efficiency.

The University of British Columbia's Undergraduate Life Sciences & Teaching Laboratories needed virtual design coordination, prefabrication, and new product solutions while under budget constraints, which paved the way for the development of our methodology of Constructible Thinking.

Commercial Plumbing

HVAC-R

VDC-BIM

Our Virtual Design Construction (VDC) capabilities, which include Building Information Management (BIM) modelling, ensure our clients have complete 3D renderings, organization and workflow processes to anticipate any complexity.

Warranty Services

Our extensive two-year warranty program covers any mechanical system that we install. Our warranty team is quick on their toes and takes pride in their work. We make great things happen and guarantee our systems to last.

Prefabrication

Our prefabrication hangar has the capacity to address large scale mechanical contracting needs while ensuring quality and precision. Our collaborative process ensures a high-quality product that fits accurately and saves on build time.

Project Outcomes

Our team navigated multiple specialty plumbing systems including DI/DC water, seawater, multiple specialty air, heating, cooling and lab air systems through the use of dynamic products and inventive layout and design thinking in a complex environment. We provided a state-of-the-art yet simple energy-efficient HVAC system that has exceeded the target goals for the project. Awarded the 2020 VRCA Award of Excellence, this project was a successful implementation of high-end mechanical systems product delivery and energy efficiency.
